Barrhead BID Business Plan and ballot papers out 16th May

Today, 16th May 2016, every person eligible for non domestic rates within the BID area is being sent a ballot paper (one for each premises) and the BID's 5 year business plan. A copy of the plan is available below.

Please make your voice count. Read the content on the business plan and return your ballot paper in time for the closing date on 5 pm, 27th June 2016.

Please note that on p21 'The Levy Table', Band 10 should read £301 - £500k with 2 businesses in that band, not 1 as stated in the printed plan.

The 5 year business plan has been carefully constructed over the last year. It represents how the BID could provide a self funded, workable mechanism for the businesses to collectively harness their strength and ensure that Barrhead town centre is ready for the opportunity of the town's development over the next 5 years.

The steering group and project co-coordinator have gathered as much feedback and information as possible through meetings, social media, printed surveys, emails, independent surveys, and talking to the town centre businesses and organisations. 

We would like to invite anyone interested to attend an information event on Monday 6th June at 6pm in the Maxton Room, Barrhead Foundry. Come along to hear more about the BID and about the experience of other operating BIDs.

We would urge you to read it, discuss it, speak to the steering group members, and vote by returning your ballot paper.
