Shopper and Business Survey results
Eddy Graham from ibp Research and Strategy presented their findings from the recent surveys. A full report will be published when its ready next week but in the mean time here are some highlights.
100 shopper surveyed in June 2015.
76% lived in in the town with a substantial 77% stating shopping as being the main reason for their visit and 81% used Barrhead town centre for convenience shopping generally.
Worst things about Barrhead were the range of shops and services and feeling unsafe.
However 78% stated they visited the town centre daily or 2-3 times per week which is a great indicator of how well the local population support their town centre.
We will analysis the report when it comes through and create a simple document to show you, and ask for feedback on, what information we plan to use to build our business plan.
Sara Park Patterson, Laura Molloy and John Park will work on the main activities and locations for this event, at the moment planned for late November 2015. We will report back at the next meeting.
